Job Overview

OES Equipment, a leading provider of construction consumables and heavy equipment rentals, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to support our DC region operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintaining fleet vehicles and managing rental equipment. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely turnover of returned rental equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work and warehouse space.
  • Adhering to OSHA and OES safety guidelines.
  • Managing inventory, ordering parts and supplies, and maintaining service trucks.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and coordinating onsite service calls.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read schematics, diagnose, and repair complex equipment failures.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Capacity to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Technician in a similar role.
  • Experience with operating various types of construction equipment.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in Rental Man software.
  • Familiarity with Coupa (P2P software) is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
