Your Profile:
You possess extensive knowledge in finance and business operations, cultivated through years of experience and perseverance. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse departments and stakeholders enables you to engage with various personalities. You excel at simplifying complex financial concepts for colleagues lacking formal accounting training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise multiple accounting functions and assist in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations while managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting duties.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of financial controls, contributing to the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Uphold accounting standards by adhering to policies and procedures and complying with all relevant financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior management and project teams under the guidance of the CFO.
  • Oversee audits, manage lien waiver processes, and act as a backup for payroll processing.
  • Accurately input data with minimal oversight.
  • Verify the accuracy of all reported financial data.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and accounting for commercial construction projects.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and cost analyses to evaluate project performance.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and receivable, and oversee payroll functions for staff.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial consultants as necessary.
  • Ensure quality control for all invoices related to construction projects, ensuring correct coding.
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and reduce costs.
  • Offer financial insights on decision-making matters affecting construction projects.
  • Assist in developing the annual operating budget and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Work alongside the Project Accountant to ensure accurate job costing and reporting for tracking project profitability and budget variances.
  • Train and manage finance department personnel, ensuring proficiency and knowledge in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to formulate long-term strategic plans and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting -OR- 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Foundation Accounting Software and Procore Construction Management Software is preferred.
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in commercial construction accounting.
