Your Profile:
You possess extensive knowledge in finance and accounting, developed through years of experience and career advancement. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse departments and stakeholders allows you to engage with various personalities. You excel at simplifying complex financial concepts for colleagues without financial backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a range of accounting activities and support financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations while managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of financial controls, contributing to the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain accounting integrity by adhering to policies and procedures and complying with relevant financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior management and project teams under the guidance of the CFO.
  • Manage audits, oversee lien waiver processes, and act as a backup for payroll functions.
  • Input data efficiently and accurately with minimal oversight.
  • Verify the accuracy of all reported financial data.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and accounting for commercial construction projects.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and cost analyses to assess project performance.
  • Implement and uphold internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor cash flow, manage accounts payable and receivable, and handle payroll for employees.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial advisors as necessary.
  • Ensure quality control of all invoices related to construction projects, ensuring correct coding.
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to enhance cost efficiency and financial performance.
  • Offer financial input on decision-making matters affecting construction projects.
  • Assist in developing the annual operating budget and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Work alongside the Project Accountant to ensure accurate job costing and reporting for project profitability.
  • Train and supervise finance department personnel, ensuring proficiency in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to formulate long-term strategic plans and company policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting -OR- 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Foundation Accounting Software and Procore Construction Management Software is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in commercial construction accounting.
