About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Enrollment Services Specialist to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a key member of our Enrollment Management department, you will play a critical role in promoting a customer service-oriented atmosphere and addressing the needs of current and prospective students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders via various communication channels.
  • Assist with admission, registration, records, and graduation processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Cross-train in general enrollment services to support the department's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology department to implement and maintain student information systems.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to work at all campuses.
  • Familiarity with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
  • Knowledge of common office practices, techniques, and technology.
  • Demonstrated skills of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.
  • Able to make sound decisions based on policies, rules, best practices, and available information.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in office management or office practices.
  • Experience working in an admission or registrar office in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with student information systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner.
  • Familiarity with admissions processes and procedures.
  • Experience with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to higher education, including those related to student privacy and academic policies.
