Position Overview:

The University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a dedicated Faculty Physician specializing in Gastroenterology/Hepatology Transplant to join our esteemed academic division. This role is pivotal in enhancing our patient-focused care and advancing our hepatology and transplant programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an inpatient attending physician on the liver service.
  • Conduct outpatient consultations at our advanced facilities.
  • Engage in outreach initiatives and provide expert consultations.
  • Develop and lead a clinical research program.
  • Contribute actively to the academic goals of the Department of Medicine.
  • Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in professional development through conferences and collaborations.

About Our Division:

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is renowned for its comprehensive clinical and research initiatives. Our transplant hepatology section is recognized for its long-standing excellence in liver transplantation. We also have a distinguished Advanced Endoscopy Section that specializes in complex gastrointestinal disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship.
  • Board certification in internal medicine and eligibility in Gastroenterology.
  • Advanced training and clinical experience in hepatology and transplant hepatology are preferred.
  • Proven excellence in patient care and a passion for medical education.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Minnesota and compliance with credentialing standards.
  • Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States.
