Position Overview:
The University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a dedicated Faculty Physician specializing in Gastroenterology and Hepatology to join our esteemed academic division. This role is designed for individuals at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank, either on the Academic or Master Clinician Track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient care as an attending physician on the liver service.
- Manage outpatient liver clinics at our advanced facilities.
- Engage in consultations and outreach initiatives.
- Develop and lead a clinical research program.
- Contribute actively to the academic objectives of the Department of Medicine.
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
About the Division:
The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is recognized for its innovative clinical and research programs, including expertise in IBD, esophageal disorders, and advanced endoscopy techniques. Our transplant hepatology section is among the longest-standing liver transplant programs in the nation, committed to excellence in patient care, education, and research.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
- Advanced training and clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology are preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in patient care and a passion for medical education.
- Possession of or eligibility for a medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
- Ability to secure work authorization in the United States.
