Pediatric Gastroenterology Faculty Position

The Department of Pediatrics, specifically within the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, is in search of a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to fill a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This role is part of a dedicated team of professionals committed to excellence in pediatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in clinical responsibilities at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital and associated clinics.
  • Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, while also contributing to clinical practice through MPhysicians.
  • Involvement in research initiatives and academic activities, either as a collaborator or an independent investigator, tailored to the candidate's professional interests.
  • This is a full-time position (FTE).
  • Faculty members are encouraged to be active in their respective national organizations and to foster an academic environment for learners and colleagues.

About the Division:

The Division is renowned for its contributions to hepatology and liver transplantation, being home to one of the oldest liver transplant programs in the country. It also specializes in chronic and acute recurrent pancreatitis in pediatric patients. The research focus includes gastrointestinal complications associated with cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel disease, food insecurity, sarcopenia, and chronic pancreatitis, with a commitment to excellence across patient care, education, and research.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric residency and a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
  • Board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure and DEA registration in the relevant state.
  • Must have the ability to work in the United States, with provisions for J-1 visa processing available.
