The Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, is in search of a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on an academic trajectory to enhance the Pediatric Gastroenterology team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • This role encompasses clinical responsibilities at designated healthcare facilities and outpatient clinics.
  • Additional duties will involve mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, engaging in clinical practice, and contributing to departmental service initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate will engage in research endeavors and other scholarly activities, either as a collaborator or an independent investigator, while also participating in professional development activities aligned with personal career aspirations.
  • This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE).
  • Faculty members are expected to be active in their respective national organizations and foster an academic atmosphere for medical students, residents, and fellow faculty.
Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric residency program followed by a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
  • Board-eligible or certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition.
  • Possession or eligibility for a medical license and DEA in the State of Maryland, meeting the necessary criteria for credentialing and privileges.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States; note that our institution can process J-1 visas.
