Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Ontario Corps office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, managing client records, and assisting with various programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Corps officers, including answering phone calls, tracking and following up on client communications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Client Services: Assist clients with social service assistance intake, scheduling appointments, and recording applications.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain confidential client records, including updating WellSky and other databases.
  • Program Support: Assist with food distribution, toy distribution, and other seasonal programs as assigned by Corps officers.
  • Financial Management: Process AP, credit card receipts, and AR, and make deposits to the bank as needed.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with donors, partners, and Corps officers, and participate in related training.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of secretarial or administrative experience.
  • Skills: Data management and reporting skills, bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Certifications: Live Scan fingerprinting required.
Working Conditions

The normal workweek will be determined based on activities and needed hours to adequately fulfill the position. The hours worked may include community meetings.
