Job Title: Manager, Federal Accounting and Financial Advisory

Baker Tilly US, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Manager to join our Federal CFO Advisory practice. As a Manager, you will lead teams of professionals in providing financial management, complex accounting, and audit readiness services to federal agencies.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead teams in delivering high-quality services to clients, including financial management, accounting, and audit readiness.
  • Evaluate organizational challenges and design solutions to address them.
  • Support clients in their annual financial statement audit, including technical accounting matters and interfacing with external auditors.
  • Anticipate and meet client needs, questions, and issues.
  • Manage internal and external deadlines to meet client expectations for delivery.
  • Interact with senior-level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings.
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in a large accounting or advisory firm serving federal agencies in audit and/or consulting roles.
  • Supervisor experience and development of people.
  • Federal experience/knowledge of U.S. federal financial regulations and FASAB.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Experience with business process improvement and audit readiness support.
  • High motivation, initiative, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities appropriately.
  • Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting analyses to management and ability to lead and drive initiatives.
