Financial Management Specialist

Job Summary:

This position is located in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and is responsible for providing payment and financial management support to United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs). The successful candidate will serve as a strategic nationwide safety net for addressing USAO payment processing needs, including vacancies, absences, and surge periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process documents and transactions from designated Districts using the UFMS and EOUSA systems.
  • Review accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations, generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget (OMB) circulars.
  • Identify corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
  • Review and analyze annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements.
  • Process travel documents in the E2 Solutions and demonstrate a working knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting.
  • 2 or more years of professional related work experience in the finance or accounting field.
  • DOJ/EOUSA public trust clearance required.
