Job Description

As a Product Safety Specialist at Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of electric vehicles (EVs) and their components. Your primary responsibility will be to interpret EV standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret EV standards, including UL 2202, UL 2231-1, UL 2231-2, UL 991, UL 2594, UL 458, and UL 1741.
  • Create and implement test plans, conduct tests, and document results.
  • Work with laboratory testing equipment, including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and leakage networks.
  • Quote EV standards as needed with sales teams.
  • Participate in technical calls to address open items related to projects.
  • Review files and reports prepared by other project engineers.
  • Conduct preliminary design reviews.
  • Monitor multiple projects and prepare certification reports.

Requirements:

  • Four-year engineering college degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Associate degree in engineering/technology is the minimum requirement.
  • Prior experience performing certification for EV devices at a testing, inspection, and certification laboratory is preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience is required, with candidates having 6+ years of experience considered senior level.

Additional Information:

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000/yr.
  • Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
