About the Role

Aalis Management Consulting is a leading provider of management consulting services to the federal government. We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Management Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Grants Management Specialist will assist our clients in all aspects of federal funds financial management and regulatory program support for recipients of grant dollars and state appraiser licensing and certification programs. This includes supporting the complete life cycle of grants, from pre-award preparation through implementation and closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the complete life cycle of grants, from pre-award preparation through implementation and closeout.
  • Serve an integral role in ensuring that all objectives and deliverables throughout the grant's life cycle are successfully achieved.
  • Work as part of a team or as an individual contributor.
  • Prepare memos for grants and program officers to document acceptance/approval of final reports and any other required deliverables.
  • Review grants and agreement applications for compliance, clarity, and completeness.
  • Monitor grantees' continuing operations to ensure compliance with the provisions of awards.
  • Provide cost analysis of approved grant applications.
  • Track grant payments and fund balances to develop status and statistical information.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders to review project budgets.
  • Prepare award documents and assist in administering awarded grants, including receipt and approval of change requests.
  • Assist in the training and technical assistance of grantees.
  • Conduct resolution of audit findings and administrative closeout of expired grants.
  • Assist in negotiating, preparing, and administering grants, cooperative agreements, or other related instruments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in grant administration.
  • Critical thinking, evaluation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, stay organized, and pay attention to detail.
  • Excellent office skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Strong computer skills, including keyboard proficiency, accurate data entry, learning new software/databases, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others and ask for assistance when needed.
  • Basic math skills required.
