Role Responsibilities


The Supply Chain division aims to ensure customer and mission success through strategic supply chain management that enhances operational program performance and fosters a competitive edge through ongoing improvement.

Our goal is to provide cost-effective supply chain solutions that fulfill all program needs while managing risks to guarantee positive supplier performance throughout all stages of the program lifecycle, from inception to sustainment.

Daily Challenges You Will Encounter:


Formulates subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the acquisition of specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontracts supporting development, production, and global sustainment across various contract types.

Prepares bid documents, conducts bidders' meetings, establishes evaluation criteria, assesses and reviews proposals, negotiates subcontract terms, selects or recommends subcontractors, drafts subcontract packages for approval, issues awards, and manages the resulting subcontracts.

Coordinates and negotiates modifications, additions, or deletions to subcontracts. Collaborates with contracts administration and procurement to develop subcontract policies and procedures. May authorize supplier agreements and purchase orders within designated authority.


This position requires on-site presence at our Lockheed Martin Space facility.


Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (including Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management)
  • Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD SECRET clearance, as well as successfully passing a drug and background check to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Skills

Ideally, you should also have:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (including Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management)
  • Familiarity with acquisition policies and knowledge of FAR / DFAR / LMAP requirements
  • Experience in supply chain activities, including procurement systems, production schedules, and IPT structures
  • A strong work ethic with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
  • Cross-functional knowledge of supplier quality, finance, and engineering as they relate to subcontract management
  • Detail-oriented and team-focused with proven organizational skills
  • Business acumen and the ability to make informed business decisions
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership of tasks, and accountability
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to generate and interpret data into actionable metrics
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present business cases to various stakeholders, including peers, suppliers, and management.

The annual base salary range for this position varies based on location and experience.
