Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse

Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a qualified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to fill a crucial role. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience working with pediatric patients, including infants. This position requires a nationally certified healthcare provider who delivers primary and/or specialized medical care across various healthcare environments. The role will be performed remotely, utilizing virtual health consultations in a non-traditional clinical setting through video, mobile, telephonic, and remote patient monitoring technologies. The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare professional whose diagnostic skills are complemented by a genuine concern for patient welfare. Proficiency in virtual platforms and advanced healthcare technologies is essential. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with a physician in accordance with an established APRN protocol agreement, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Deliver high-quality care to all patients in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate in the development and application of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) protocols for accurate diagnosis.
- Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and peer review programs.
- Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations, initiate necessary lab orders, and evaluate diagnostic tests to establish a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Work effectively as part of multidisciplinary care teams.
- Educate patients about their health conditions and treatment options.
- May serve as a clinical preceptor for PA/APRN students and other healthcare professionals.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed for further consultation or specialized care.
- Must be capable of providing remote healthcare services.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on training and experience.
Foster a culture that prioritizes patient satisfaction, safety, and effective communication. Achieve department-specific goals related to patient experience, financial performance, and quality safety metrics.
Educational Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Education Program or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless otherwise specified.
- Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - PC
- Active licensure in GA, AL, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA
Eligibility for and maintenance of privileges to practice at facilities as per medical staff guidelines upon hire.
Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse upon hire.
Current certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) upon hire.
Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) upon hire.
DEA Registration Number upon hire.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a physician practice, emergency department, urgent care, or other outpatient settings, with pediatric experience (including infants).
A minimum of one year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual care environment.
Skills and Competencies

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the confidence to represent the organization positively in various settings.

Must have a professional remote work environment with reliable high-speed internet access.
