Position Overview

We are in search of a skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to fill a remote position. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience with pediatric patients, including infants. This role requires a nationally certified healthcare provider who delivers primary and/or specialized nursing and medical care across various healthcare environments. The position emphasizes virtual health consultations conducted from a non-traditional clinical setting (e.g., home office) utilizing video, mobile, telephonic, and remote patient monitoring technologies. The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare professional whose diagnostic skills are complemented by a deep concern for patient welfare. Proficiency in virtual platforms and advanced healthcare technology is essential. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with a physician under an established APRN protocol agreement, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties
  • Deliver quality care to all patients in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate to develop and implement Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) protocols for targeted diagnoses.
  • Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and peer review programs as established by the Medical Group and its Affiliates.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations, initiate necessary lab orders, and evaluate lab data to establish patient health status and treatment plans.
  • Work effectively as part of multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Educate patients on their health conditions and treatment strategies.
  • Serve as a clinical preceptor for PA/APRN students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed for further consultation or specialized resources.
  • Provide virtual healthcare effectively from a remote location.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned, based on training and experience.
Quality Improvement Initiatives

Foster a culture focused on patient satisfaction, safety, and effective communication. Achieve departmental goals related to patient experience, financial performance, and quality safety metrics.

Required Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an A.R.C. approved Physician Assistant Education Program or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program.

Licenses and Certifications: All certifications must be obtained upon hire, including:
  • Cert Ped Nurse Prac - PC
  • Active license in GA, AL, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA
Experience Requirements

Minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a physician practice, emergency department, urgent care, or other ambulatory settings, with pediatric experience (including infants). A minimum of one year working in a telehealth or virtual care environment is also required.

Skills and Competencies

Demonstrated leadership abilities and knowledge. Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration in multi-specialty medical groups. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
