Job Summary

Diversified is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Visual Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of audio visual projects from initiation to closure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and technicians.
  • Provide clear leadership and ownership for projects, including accurate and timely verbal and written communication and follow-up.
  • Coordinate all activities associated with the timely, accurate, and on-budget completion of projects, including engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities clearly, and running client and internal project meetings.
  • Ensure appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts and design, plan, and coordinate work teams with regard to audio visual installation projects.
  • Assume ownership of individual projects and assignments.
  • Establish and maintain communication with account executives, directors, installation technicians, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and communicate project updates as required.
  • Provide constant monitoring of labor, equipment, and materials budgets.
  • Provide and/or direct technical and administrative support to project team members.
  • Perform field verification of prospective work sites, document all issues with sites, and keep everyone informed of potential issues and solutions.
  • Coordinate all drawings and documentation between all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and direct design reviews to assure proper documentation in the field.
  • Coordinate all system programming and final checkout of systems.
  • Provide punch-list of remaining tasks after substantial completion.
  • Contract with contractors and other trades when necessary.
  • Monitor status of projects, including cost, timing, and staffing, to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  • Ensure quality and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate training and turnover of projects to clients, service departments, and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is desired.
  • AVIXA CTS certification.
  • Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a project manager required.
  • 3-5+ years of experience with oversight of long-term projects preferred.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed, sometimes daily, in the DMV area.
  • Familiarity with audio/video systems installations.
  • Knowledgeable of low-voltage electrical projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory and people skills.
  • The ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems.

Compensation

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
