Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex Audio-Visual/Multimedia (AV/MM) systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Installation: Provide design, installation, and maintenance of AV/MM systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
- Programming and Configuration: Program and configure developmental and operational AV/MM systems, including CRESTRON AV systems and Cisco VTC equipment.
- System Integration: Integrate audio and video teleconferencing systems, digital video effects systems, and production switchers.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems, as well as assist users in accessing and using AV/MM systems.
- Design and Development: Design a wide variety of AV/MM solutions, including multi-level security VTC/PC systems, enterprise-level VTC and collaboration systems, conference rooms, digital signage, and streaming.
- Inventory Management: Act as equipment custodian and perform inventory asset management and accountability functions.
- Documentation: Document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
- Analysis and Testing: Conduct analysis on AV/MM systems to ensure designs are cost-efficient, able to be integrated, and reliable, and perform testing on equipment.
- Hardware Maintenance: Provide hardware maintenance support, both preventative and remedial, and deploy, install, and implement new AV/MM systems at customer sites as needed.
- Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to determine the best course of action for AV/MM system installation and integration.
- Control System Configuration: Configure control systems, communication devices, and peripheral equipment to streamline control system interfaces and automate user experience.
- Programming Experience: Minimum five (5) years' experience in CRESTRON AV system programming and configuration of Cisco VTC Systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of security protocols (SSL, TLS, encryption), audio processing, sound reinforcement, and sightlines, screen size, and projection distances.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of additional AV/MM experience in the areas identified above may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree for a total of nine (9) years' experience.
- Certifications: Certification as a Technology Specialist (CTS) and/or CTS-Installation and/or CTS-Design training certification is desired.
