About the Role

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining complex Audio-Visual/Multimedia (AV/MM) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Installation: Provide design, installation, and maintenance of AV/MM systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
  • Programming and Configuration: Program and configure developmental and operational AV/MM systems, including CRESTRON AV systems and Cisco VTC equipment.
  • System Integration: Integrate audio and video teleconferencing systems, digital video effects systems, and production switchers.
  • Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems, as well as technical support to users.
  • Design and Development: Design a wide variety of AV/MM solutions, including multi-level security VTC/PC systems, enterprise-level VTC and collaboration systems, conference rooms, digital signage, and streaming.
  • Inventory Management: Act as equipment custodian and perform inventory asset management and accountability functions.
  • Documentation: Document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate with other engineering personnel to coordinate interrelated design and ensure project completion.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years' experience in AV/MM engineering, with a focus on CRESTRON programming and Cisco VTC systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of additional AV/MM experience in the areas identified above.
  • Certifications: Certification as a Technology Specialist (CTS) and/or CTS-Installation and/or CTS-Design training certification is desired.
