Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Guest Service Representative to join our team at Santa Cruz Seaside Company. As a key member of our Guest Service Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all who visit our Haunted Castle office building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Consistent and Friendly Guest Service: Greet every guest and employee, answer questions, and provide helpful information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate Point of Sale System: Process cash, credit card, and ATM transactions, and examine currency to check for counterfeits.
  • Answer Informational Phone Calls: Respond to guest inquiries and provide accurate information about tickets, all-day wristbands, season passes, and promotions.
  • Distribute Paychecks and Other Items: Deliver paychecks, bus passes, parking stickers, keys, and other items to employees and guests as needed.
  • Handle Difficult Customer Service Situations: Resolve guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor Guest Access: Direct guests to Haunted Castle offices for appointments and provide business cards as needed.
  • Sell Ride Wristbands and Other Products: Process phone and online orders for ride wristbands, My Boardwalk Play cards, and season passes.
  • Maintain Files and Records: Enter and update files and records, and advise supervisors of needed supplies.
  • Assist with Office Organization: Help maintain a clean and safe office environment, including the Lost & Found room and kitchenette.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of General Office Skills: Familiarity with computer keyboard, multiline phone systems, and filing.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Ability to Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously: Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to Maintain Confidentiality: Keep guest and employee interactions, conversations, and incidents confidential.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to Work in a Confined Space: Sit for up to eight hours at a time and work in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Able to Hear Normal Conversation: Respond to phone calls and engage with guests in person.
  • Able to See, Read, and Interpret Documents: Review and understand written instructions and procedures.
  • Able to Lift 35 Pounds: Move objects and supplies as needed.
Testing Post Offer of Hire:
  • Criminal Background Check: Conducted as a condition of employment.
  • Signed Privacy and Confidentiality Notice: Required for all employees.
