Position Summary

This role entails the crucial responsibility of ensuring that products manufactured, packaged, and delivered to clients meet all established Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards. The primary focus is on conducting mechanical inspections during the manufacturing process and assessing incoming materials for compliance with specifications necessary for project assembly and final product delivery.

  • Ensure that all manufactured, packaged, and shipped products comply with established Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, sample data, and other documentation to assess, modify, or establish specifications and inspection/testing protocols.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and instruments, ensuring precision instruments meet required standards.
  • Conduct inspections for incoming materials and in-process components using appropriate inspection tools.
  • Collect samples for analysis and document findings accurately.
  • Reject or discard products, materials, and equipment that do not meet specifications.
  • Inspect materials, products, and work in progress for compliance with specifications, adjusting processes or equipment as necessary.
  • Document acceptance or rejection of items, record inspection data, and compare findings against specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Review maintenance logs to confirm proper functioning of plant equipment.
  • Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies for operational accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Monitor and manage measurement and testing equipment for recalls and calibration.
  • Support the quality management system by conducting internal and process audits.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Experience and Skills:

In accordance with federal regulations, all new hires must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

  • Experience with CMM operation and programming, such as PCDMIS or similar software.
  • Familiarity with ISO-9001:2015 and/or AS9001 standards.
  • Experience with QMS software and ERP systems, such as Costpoint, Gage Trak, and TIPQA, is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of GD&T is beneficial.
  • Experience in a machine shop environment is a plus.
  • IPC-610 certification or experience is an advantage.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and their application in the design and production of goods and services.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; trade school graduate preferred, with 3-5 years of relevant inspection experience.
  • Associate degree in a technical field such as Drafting, Engineering, Machining, or Quality is desirable.
