This is an exciting opportunity to join our Quality Team at RTX as a Quality Assurance Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our aerospace manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities- Work with precision measuring equipment to inspect parts, tools, and gages
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections to ensure compliance with specifications
- Use mathematical computations to determine nonconformance and complete necessary paperwork
- Follow proper procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions
- Recognize the need for repair or replacement of measuring equipment and arrange for necessary maintenance
- Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives
- Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and be flexible around shifts for training and to maintain workflow
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in:
- Aerospace manufacturing processes and systems
- Quality control procedures and protocols
- Precision measurement techniques and equipment
- Mathematical computations and data analysis
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship (as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract)
- Previous experience in inspection or quality control (non-aerospace experience acceptable)
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Basic shop math skills
