Position Overview
This role is crucial in ensuring that all products manufactured, packaged, and delivered to our clients adhere to established Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
The primary duties include conducting in-process mechanical inspections and receiving inspections of hardware intended for inclusion in contract/project assembly and final product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of manufactured, packaged, and shipped products with all Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, sample data, and other documentation to assess, modify, or measure specifications or inspection and testing procedures.
- Maintain and clean testing equipment and instruments, certifying that precision instruments meet required standards.
- Conduct inspections for incoming and in-process materials using appropriate inspection tools.
- Collect samples for testing and analyze findings, discarding or rejecting non-compliant products, materials, and equipment.
- Inspect materials, products, and work in progress for adherence to specifications, adjusting processes or assembly equipment as necessary.
- Document acceptance or rejection of items, recording test results and inspection data, and comparing findings with specifications to ensure compliance.
- Review maintenance records to confirm proper functioning of plant equipment.
- Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies for functionality, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify compliance with specifications.
- Monitor and manage measurement and test equipment for recalls and calibration.
- Support the quality management system by conducting internal and process audits.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
In compliance with federal regulations, all candidates must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hire.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in CMM operation and programming, particularly with PCDMIS or similar software.
- Familiarity with ISO-9001:2015 and/or AS9001 standards.
- Experience with QMS software and ERP systems such as Costpoint, Gage Trak, and TIPQA is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of GD&T is beneficial.
- Previous experience in a machine shop setting is a plus.
- IPC-610 experience or certification is preferred.
- Understanding of the practical application of engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment.
