Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting and protecting the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' healthcare needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Assist with conducting community needs assessments and identifying high-risk populations.
  • Develop and implement interventions to address the needs of the population and available resources.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of a PHN course within one year.
  • Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Public health and infectious disease experience.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.
