Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Cobb and Douglas Public Health. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in promoting and protecting the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to populations with special needs during disasters/emergencies and biological and chemical protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' health care needs and identify high-risk populations.
- Develop and implement interventions based on the needs of the population and available resources.
- Collaborate with community partners to promote health and prevent disease.
- Assist with conducting community needs assessments and developing strategies to address health disparities.
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of a PHN course within one year.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- One year of PHN experience.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required.
