Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our interdisciplinary team at the Center for Biotechnology & Genomic Medicine. As a key member of our team, you will work on high-throughput data analysis and data integration across various domains, developing novel methods for genomic data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality data analysis of high-throughput genomic data and assist others in the interpretation of analyzed data.
  • Develop software and/or algorithms in support of research projects, including analytical, statistical, and procedural algorithms for processing data.
  • Provide IT support and backup to daily IT operations.
  • Develop computational/analytical models and theories in support of research projects.
  • Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.
  • OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Bioinformatics training and experience in development of algorithms and analytic approaches for genomic and proteomic data analysis and integration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
  • Knowledge of database development and maintenance and the development of web applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with a high degree of professionalism.
