Mental Health Support Specialist

About the Role:
The Mental Health Support Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, this individual will assist with the care of patients who require basic hygiene and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic hygiene care for patients as directed by nursing staff.
- Perform clothing and patient belongings searches on admission, ensuring all documentation requirements are met.
- Defuse situations and summon assistance as needed.
- Document hourly patient checks and review patient status with nursing and counseling teams.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
