Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Mental Health Case Manager. As a key member of our care team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial services to adult and child members in a primary or specialty care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate psychosocial assets and deficits, providing short-term counseling, education, and advocacy to enable and maintain the greatest level of independence.
  • Assess, triage, diagnose, treat, and provide crisis intervention services for members with mental health and addiction needs.
  • Collaborate with treating primary or specialty care providers, psychiatric, addiction medicine, and allied health professional team members to plan and direct each individual patient's treatment program.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, and contribute to the development of clinical treatment programs for members with acute or chronic mental or addiction illness.
  • Provide consultation to care teams, primary or specialty care providers, and health educators on matters relating to mental health, addiction, health psychology, behavioral medicine, and long-term care and advanced care planning.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (or Social Welfare from a clinical track), Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field required from an accredited college or university.
  • License, Certification, Registration: Marriage and Family Therapist Associate License (Washington) OR Mental Health Counselor Associate License (Washington) OR Licensed Social Worker Associate-Independent Clinical (Washington).
  • Prior completion of a practicum or internship in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions that contribute to mental health.
  • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
