Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Scribe to join our team at the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in facilitating patient flow and ensuring accurate and complete medical records for each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany physicians into patient examination rooms to transcribe medical histories and physical exams, and document encounters accurately and timely.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, and other relevant information.
  • Chart provider/patient encounters in real-time, accurately and timely.
  • Document procedures performed by physicians and support the delivery of care by assisting with laboratory orders, patient referrals, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least six months of experience as a Medical Scribe or related experience and/or training.
