Behavioral Support Technician

About the Role
As a Behavioral Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children with various exceptionalities and their families. This position involves working in diverse environments including homes, educational institutions, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related conditions.
• Implement intervention strategies as specified in the client's individualized program designed by the supervising BCBA.
• Collect and present data in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Assist in the modification of client programs as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Execute behavioral strategies for addressing inappropriate or maladaptive behaviors as outlined in the client's program.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with organizational policies.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Report emergencies or significant incidents, including suspected abuse or changes in client status, in line with company protocols.
• Attend appointments, meetings, and training sessions punctually.
• Respond to communications, including phone calls and emails, in a timely manner.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner, treating all clients, colleagues, and stakeholders with dignity and respect, while being culturally sensitive.
Qualifications:
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• High School Diploma or in progress towards a bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, psychology, or a related discipline.
• Completion of a minimum 40-hour RBT certification course from an accredited institution is required.
• Experience with children diagnosed with ASD or similar exceptionalities is preferred.
• Proficient communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (Spanish or Portuguese) are a plus.
• Dependability and a genuine passion for supporting children and adolescents.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance are necessary for travel to appointments.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
