Amentum is actively seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE) to deliver comprehensive support for Cyberspace Operations (CO) virtual training development.


Role Overview:
This position involves creating and enhancing training modules within a virtual framework tailored to meet the operational training requirements of the U.S. Navy's Information Professional (IP) and Information Warfare (IW) communities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the strategic planning and execution of virtual training exercises, ensuring all training events are developed in accordance with established timelines.
  • Document and maintain after-action reports (AAR) for each training event to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge of virtual training systems to identify operational scenarios that enhance training efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee configuration management of training products to ensure their stability and consistency, adjusting virtual setups to meet specified operational needs.
  • Provide expert advisory services in Modeling & Simulation (M&S), integrating PCTE capabilities with other functional areas.
  • Support the planning and execution of simulation-related events, adhering to military doctrine and regulations.
  • Develop advanced training content and exercises based on fleet requirements, contributing to the creation of Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) training programs.
  • Engage in planning conferences and exercises related to virtual training development.
  • Create and validate interactive models for use in training analysis and testing.
  • Support the development and evaluation of training products, offering recommendations for instructor-led and self-paced courses.
  • Provide technical and engineering services for the integration of training systems and simulations.
  • Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of training systems and software to ensure operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with government personnel to optimize system performance and coordinate training schedules.
  • Analyze post-exercise effectiveness and provide feedback to enhance future training initiatives.
  • Assist in developing operational procedures and advanced tactical training events in cyberspace operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a cybersecurity-related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • CISCO CCNA certification and proficiency in Linux OS, Alcatel Switches, and VMware.
  • Experience in delivering cyberspace operations training to Department of Defense (DoD) customers.
  • Strong background in networking principles, domain management, and security appliances.
  • Familiarity with cloud architecture and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) operations and cybersecurity policies.
  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Clearance is required.
