Job Summary

The University of Illinois Foundation is seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the administration of donor gift funds. As a Gift Administration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with donor intent and collaborating with various stakeholders to manage gift fund administration, expenditure reviews, and updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate procedures and processes related to donor intent to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with UI System, university units, and Foundation Accounting to ensure donor intent, administration, and expenditure review efforts.
  • Assist with governing document reviews and participate in Gift Administration training sessions.
  • Review and maintain data integrity of Foundation databases, systems, and files.
  • Utilize knowledge of Foundation and University policies, procedures, and operations to respond to inquiries from faculty, staff, and constituents.
  • Prepare statistical reports for area(s) of specialty.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, including a minimum of three years related work experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with diverse constituent groups.
  • Proven ability to recognize and set priorities, coordinate work, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with strong customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with familiarity with database and data/report generation applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with accounting or business-related fields.
  • Experience with donor tracking and engagement databases, such as TED and Banner.
  • Knowledge of University of Illinois Foundation and University administrative systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with University Advancement activities.
