Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at F.E. Moran Group of Companies. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently completing all procurement and purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Analyze: Review specifications and complete the purchasing, expediting, bid analysis, and invoice auditing process for equipment and materials.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure best pricing, timely delivery, and service of equipment and materials needed for construction and service projects.
  • Support and Advise: Provide support and advice to internal teams with ongoing administration of our contracts to ensure adherence to established contract deadlines, procedures, and requirements.
  • Track and Coordinate: Input vendor and purchase order information for logistics, invoicing, and inventory control functions, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Organize delivery of equipment and materials to project sites and other locations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Procurement Specialist or Purchasing Coordinator preferred but not required; experience in or desire to learn the Fire Protection Industry is a must.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Bachelor's degree or High school diploma with equivalent experience. Strong data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, ERP, vendor software, and database programs. Knowledge and previous experience with Penta is a plus.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to analyze, think critically, problem-solve, and effectively negotiate. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, to varied levels of audiences regularly.
  • Self-Management and Time Management Skills: Demonstrate time management skills; successfully work on multiple priorities; meet deadlines.
