Job Title: Clinic Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our team at InterCare Health Network. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary

The Clinic Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care and assisting healthcare providers in an ambulatory care setting. This will involve assessing patients, recognizing abnormalities or urgent problems, and seeking appropriate assistance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with providers and other clinical support staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient assessment, treatment, and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care and assist healthcare providers in an ambulatory care setting
  • Assess patients and recognize abnormalities or urgent problems
  • Work collaboratively with providers and other clinical support staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
  • Perform patient assessment and care planning, including self-management goal setting
  • Provide patient education and identify teaching needs related to disease management
  • Administer immunizations and other medications, and manage medication refills according to policy and procedures
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing following InterCare policy and procedure
  • Provide patient triage, including phone triage and walk-ins
  • Coordinate care among the clinical support team
Requirements
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of 2 years of OB/GYN nursing experience preferred
  • Possesses knowledge of nursing practices acquired through graduation from an accredited nursing program with a minimum of 1 year of ambulatory and/or hospital nursing experience preferred
  • BLS Certification, to be completed within two months of employment
Working Conditions

The Clinic Nurse will work in a typical office environment, with ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include:

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, frequently sit, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, reach with arms & hands, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and manipulate (using keyboard, office equipment)
  • Visual acuity to use keyboard, operate office equipment, and read printed material and regularly required to talk and hear
