Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Nurse Educator to join our Hospice team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff, as well as providing clinical guidance and support to patients and families. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, including orientation, in-services, and continuing education
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to patients and families, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Leader and other members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Assess the overall needs of patients and families, and develop individualized plans of care to meet those needs
  • Participate in ongoing improvement activities that contribute to quality patient care
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – Required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing Education or Adult Education – Preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience in clinical nursing and education – Required
  • Education and program development experience – Preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan – Required upon hire
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support within 90 Days – Required
  • Specialty Certification within 1 year or Board Cert Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) – ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center within 1 Year – Preferred
