Job Summary:The Clinic Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care and assisting healthcare providers in an ambulatory care setting. This role will focus on delivering safe, high-quality patient assessment, treatment, and follow-up care in a patient-centered medical home environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-level nursing functions, including patient assessment, care planning, and medication management.
- Work in partnership with providers and other clinical support staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
- Assess patients and recognize abnormalities or urgent problems, seeking appropriate assistance when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients and family members involved in their care.
- Participate in daily huddles with the clinical support team to review the daily schedule and enhance patient flow.
- Coordinate care among the clinical support team and identify patient flow problems, taking initiative in their solution.
- Possesses knowledge of nursing practices acquired through graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of ambulatory and/or hospital nursing experience preferred.
- Current RN or LPN license in the State of Michigan.
- BLS Certification, to be completed within two months of employment.
- Proficient in customer service and professionalism.
The Clinic Nurse will work in a typical office environment, requiring ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. The position involves standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, frequently sitting, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
