Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Information Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team, contributing to advanced program integration and implementation within the US Navy's Strike Planning and Execution Systems.
Key Responsibilities:


- Conduct system administration, software installations, user training, and provide customer support.
- Primarily operate from our designated facility, with occasional travel required.
- Engage in embedded support for US Navy units, including extended periods aboard vessels.


- Analyze and deconstruct software functionalities and operations within the Strike Planning and Execution Systems framework, both independently and collaboratively.
- Liaise with various levels of US Government personnel and contractors to gather necessary information.


- Participate in the validation and verification of technical documentation, program reviews, and team meetings.
- Assist in developing performance metrics for reporting and documentation enhancement.


- Manage inventory and tracking of government-provided equipment.
- Serve as the primary contact between the government Program Office and Fleet users, delivering on-site technical support.


- Provide tailored training for users on system-specific administration and maintenance.
- Support aircrew mission planning utilizing the supported programs.


- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to compile data inputs, establish training needs, and review developed materials.


- Facilitate training and guidance for less experienced team members and colleagues from related programs.


- Install and configure system-specific software across all relevant assets.
- Integrate and secure site-specific hardware and software applications as per government approval.


- Manage system administrator and user accounts for all applicable mission assets.
- Offer technical recommendations to the government customer regarding system upgrades and new solutions.


- Support the preparation of documentation for installation, testing, and operational continuity procedures.


- Coordinate with network, web, database, and information assurance engineers for all related activities.


- Monitor and report on system security in compliance with DoD and local policies.


- Prepare and test deployable equipment packages for remote operations, providing necessary training and support.


- Adhere to configuration management and change control policies.


- Stay updated on relevant technologies as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Certifications:
- Must obtain applicable DoD m/8140 IATII certification within three months of employment, such as Security+ or CISSP.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years in the administration of DOD C4ISR systems and networks, including help desk support and training.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD TOP SECRET clearance; U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
- Must be able to pass medical screenings for naval vessel operations and handle physical demands as required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, and Kubernetes.
- Previous experience with JMPS or equivalent military system administration.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in various software applications and systems management tools.
