Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to join our team at Orthopaedic Solutions Management. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth patient flow by handling all aspects of the check-in and check-out process, including collecting co-pays and patient balances, obtaining credit card on file agreements, and preparing paperwork. You will also be responsible for greeting patients, informing them of any delays, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the office is prepared to receive patients by turning on lights, unlocking doors, and placing sign-in sheets in clipboards.
  • Greeting patients and welcoming new patients to our practice.
  • Informing patients of any delays or wait times.
  • Providing patients with the intake tablet and instructions on how to use it.
  • Assisting patients with difficulty using the tablet.
  • Ensuring patients have completed all required intake information.
  • Obtaining and verifying patient identification and insurance cards.
  • Verifying a valid authorization is present in the patient's account.
  • Collecting co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and outstanding patient balances.
  • Informing patients of credit card on file process and obtaining signed agreements.
  • Beginning the check-in process in Athena.
  • Printing financial agreements and obtaining patient signatures.
  • Uploading outside patient imaging CDs into Medview PACs.
  • Preparing paperwork for the next day's clinic.
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments.
  • Completing end-of-day batches.
  • Processing disability form payments.
  • Scanning daily batches and forwarding documents to Patient Records.
  • Informing Zone Lead or Supervisor of any problems or issues.

About You:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in a medical environment
  • Intermediate data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be organized and able to multitask

We'd Love It If You Also Had:

  • 2 years of experience in Ortho
  • Athena EMR experience
  • Spanish Bi-Lingual a Plus
