Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Faculty Leader to join our team at Galen College of Nursing. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students and contribute to the growth and development of our institution. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and advising students in our nursing programs.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Nursing Faculty Leader, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our nursing programs, developing curriculum, and evaluating program outcomes. You will also be expected to stay current with industry developments and trends, and to contribute to the growth and development of our institution. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree in Nursing, a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, and active, current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Teaching and mentoring students in our nursing programs
  • Developing and implementing curriculum, and evaluating program outcomes
  • Staying current with industry developments and trends, and contributing to the growth and development of our institution
  • Providing feedback to students on their performance and progress
  • Participating in governance activities and serving on College and campus committees as assigned

Physical and Mental Demands and Work Environment

This position requires regular attendance, and may require evening or weekend hours, and travel to clinical sites and extended classrooms. The position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision making. Physical demands in the classroom and office are minimal and are considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment such as phone, computer, classroom projector, Scantron, and printer/scanner occurs on a frequent basis.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $83,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and a 401(k) plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay (based on years of service).
