We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join our team at Technical Assent. As a Managing Consultant, you will work closely with our Federal government clients to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences that meet their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date on the latest learning experience design best practices and share your expertise with our team and clients.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research to understand client requirements and needs, using methodologies such as customer research, stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and data analysis.
- Curriculum Development: Lead the development of curriculum using the ADDIE method, facilitate customer validation and testing, and continuously improve curriculum based on feedback.
- Training Program Design: Design and develop training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct skill assessments and collect input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Consult with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and design appropriate course content and training curriculum.
- Curriculum Support: Develop curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks.
- Content Creation: Write and edit outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs.
- Software Evaluation: Evaluate software or collaboration tools to be selected for training.
- Metrics and Evaluation: Establish metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Coaching and Development: May coach trainers and provide guidance on best practices.
- Technology and Innovation: Stay up-to-date on recent technological developments, tools, and advancements and recommend improved uses to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build rapport with diverse stakeholders and research participants, both in-person and remotely, to uncover deeper insights and motivations.
- Education: Doctorate degree in instructional design or related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant, professional experience.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Certification: Certification in Human-Centered Design, design thinking, and/or service design background.
- Experience: Experience consulting for the Federal government.
