Job Title: Senior Instructional Designer

The Executive Leadership Council is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join our Leadership Institute team in Washington, DC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful and engaging curricula for our Leadership Development offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop learning events that align with adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
  • Assess customer and learner needs, and translate those needs into learning event requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts to identify content that addresses learning event requirements and objectives.
  • Create and curate materials, such as audio, exercises, facilitation notes, and slides, that meet learning event requirements and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Adult & Continuing Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in adult education, instructional design, or curriculum design.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in content delivery and facilitation with adult learners.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing customized learning and development programming.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an interior office setting with no adverse environmental conditions.
  • Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week/8 days a month in office with travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Work involves frequently sitting, talking, and operating a computer, with occasional light physical effort.
