Job Title: Senior Instructional Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instructional Technologist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our Educational Design and Technology department, you will play a critical role in supporting the design, development, and delivery of online courses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop online courses using learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard and Canvas.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and faculty to create engaging and effective online learning experiences.
  • Provide technical support and training to faculty and staff on the use of LMS, multimedia tools, and other educational technologies.
  • Maintain and update the JHU SAIS evaluation kit site and create summative reports on class evaluation results.
  • Stay current on LMS system upgrades and changes, and perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or related field.
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 360 and experience with online conferencing software such as Collaborate and Zoom.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to manage and meet deadlines, and commitment to customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
