Software Engineer Role Overview

West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Commercial Enterprise IT team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in transforming our business to support growth and driving operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Codes and develops software applications to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Works as part of a development team on the design and implementation of software applications.
  • Conducts requirement analysis, produces design documents on proposed solutions, and delivers consistent, test-covered, high-quality code in a timely fashion.
  • Supports and maintains internal, cloud, and 3rd party based solutions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with C#, .NET 8, Typescript/JavaScript, React, XML, and JSON.
  • Proficiency with Azure Apps, APIM, and Service Bus.
  • Proficiency with web services and API development, including REST standards.
  • Proficiency with writing unit and integration tests.
  • Working in an agile environment, utilizing Azure DevOps for work items/repo management/builds/deploys.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment.
  • 2-6 years of experience in IT engineering.

Preferred Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
