Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with store personnel to address invoicing and exemption inquiries, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain sales tax exemption documentation, enhancing compliance through thorough reviews.
  • Analyze system-generated reports to confirm correct tax charges and reconcile sales tax accounts.
  • Provide training on sales and use tax topics to relevant personnel, ensuring understanding and compliance.
  • Conduct tax research and support audits from various taxing authorities.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficient in advanced PC applications, particularly Excel and Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with systems such as NetSuite, Customer First, OneSource, or similar tax determination tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively support inquiries.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
