Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure the highest level of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft, engines, and components to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Repair Station Procedures: Understand and follow procedures for the repair station, including the use of forms, tags, and required paperwork as outlined in Banyan Air Service's repair station manuals and FAA manuals.
  • Tool Requirements: Possess the minimum required tools to perform mechanic duties.
  • Work Order System: Demonstrate proficiency in the Banyan Air work order system.
  • Maintenance Task Instructions: Research maintenance task instruction guidance and parts required in manufacturer's maintenance manuals to perform required tasks.
  • Aircraft Component Identification: Identify or tag all aircraft components when removed from an aircraft undergoing maintenance or modification.
  • Aircraft Protection: Protect aircraft exteriors and interiors prior to work commencement.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to and from other locations to conduct aircraft maintenance when necessary.
  • Safety Mindset: Maintain a Safety First mindset at all times.
  • Additional Duties: Perform duties as assigned by Crew Leader or Manager.
Requirements
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Licenses: Airframe & Powerplant License and valid driver's license.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Knowledge: Strong working knowledge and understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations and ability to understand manufacturers manuals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in hot and noisy environments.
Preferred Experience
  • Corporate Turbine Powered Aircraft Experience: Experience working with corporate turbine powered aircraft, including Gulfstream, Global, Challenger, Falcon, Hawker, Lear, Citation, King Air, HondaJet, and other types of corporate business jets.
  • Avionics Background: Avionics background a plus.
