Position Overview

We are currently looking for a full-time Ring Fabricator III for the first shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm), Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain machinery that bends and expands metal structural shapes, including bars, strips, and rods to specified contours.
  • Adjust and calculate machine setups based on written instructions, considering material thickness, bend radius, and circumference corrections.
  • Inspect and measure materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations and temperatures to identify malfunctions and ensure product quality.
  • Feed metal materials through rolling mechanisms and control feeding mechanisms.
  • Regulate machine controls and speed mechanisms as necessary.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment and ensure safety equipment is operational before machine use.
  • Perform multiple operations in ring fabrication, including rounding, grinding, forming, heat treating, expanding, and flash welding.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, willingness to work overtime, and adherence to supervisor instructions and workplace rules.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize resource use, including time, materials, and equipment, to meet production goals.
  • Evaluate heat-treating and fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Recognize areas for additional training or certifications to improve job performance.
  • May operate forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, or templates.
  • Knowledge of machinery and tools, including flash welding, MIG/TIG welding, heat treat furnaces, and metal processing techniques.
  • Capability to monitor and control machine operations effectively.
  • Physical ability to handle and position materials, including hot components.
  • Dexterity to manipulate and assemble objects efficiently.
Qualifications

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational training is advantageous.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Preferred experience in welding and metal fabrication.
