Position Overview

We are currently in search of a full-time Ring Fabricator III for the first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm), Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and manage machinery that bends and expands metal structural shapes, including bars, strips, and rods to specified contours.
  • Adjust and calculate machine setups based on written instructions, considering material thickness, bend radius, and circumference corrections.
  • Inspect and measure materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations and temperatures to identify malfunctions and confirm product specifications.
  • Feed metal materials through rolling mechanisms and control feeding mechanisms.
  • Adjust and regulate machine controls and speed mechanisms.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment and ensure all safety equipment is operational before machine use.
  • Perform multiple operations in ring fabrication, including rounding, grinding, forming, heat treating, expanding, and flash welding.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, willingness to work overtime, and adherence to workplace rules and procedures.
  • Identify methods to optimize resource utilization, ensuring production goals are consistently met.
  • Evaluate heat-treating and fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and quality, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Recognize areas for additional training or certifications to enhance job performance.
  • May operate forklifts or other material handling devices as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions and calculate necessary information.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, or templates.
  • Knowledge of machinery and tools, including flash welding, MIG/TIG welding, heat treat furnaces, and metal manipulation techniques.
  • Capability to monitor and control machine operations effectively.
  • Ability to handle and position materials, including hot components.
  • Skill in rapidly manipulating objects with hands and arms.
Qualifications

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational training is advantageous.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience in welding and metal fabrication is preferred.
