Job Summary

Premier Medical Resources is a healthcare management company seeking a skilled Full-Time Patient Collections Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring patient accounts, resolving outstanding claims, and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality of medical records
  • Answer billing office phone calls and respond to requests for information and claim review
  • Initiate contact with patients with past due balances
  • Resolve outstanding claims and appeal denied or unpaid claims
  • Work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate account balances
  • Process and post patient payments daily
  • Research and process refund requests within contractual obligations and state and federal laws
  • Interpret department policies and procedures to personnel and patients
  • Support the Account Recovery Specialist team

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of insurance collections/billing reimbursement experience in a hospital setting
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and procedures
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
