Overview:


As a Numerical Control Specialist, you will be responsible for:


• Analyzing and interpreting various engineering documentation, including drawings, models, and specifications, to effectively execute assigned tasks.


• Creating and providing MCAD operational models and 2D schematics for the planning of manufacturing processes.


• Serving as a liaison for manufacturing operations, ensuring the availability of MCAD models and corresponding 2D drawings.


• Developing and maintaining tooling and fixture definitions for diverse manufacturing operations, accommodating both MCAD and traditional designs.


• Generating and updating CAM programs and operator guidelines for Numerical Control machinery.


• Crafting and sustaining Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and related digital tooling programs.


• Possessing a solid understanding of NC programming, lofting, engineering principles, tool design, and manufacturing processes.


• Applying knowledge of GD&T and aerospace tolerances in relevant applications.


• Assisting in producibility assessments as needed.


• Keeping detailed records and schedules of assigned tasks.


• Adhering to established cost control standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks to maintain competitive positioning in the market.


• Providing technical support to procurement and suppliers as directed by management.


• Demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.


• Utilizing extensive knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes to train, guide, and validate the work of Production Engineering teams.


• Participating in training sessions and completing competency assessments as required to stay updated with technological advancements.

Qualifications:


• A minimum of four (4) years of college education or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry, showcasing the ability to perform essential functions related to GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
