Job Overview

Joint Research and Development, LLC is in search of dedicated professionals to support the Director of Air Force Civil Engineers (AF/A4C). This position primarily allows for remote work with occasional onsite requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with AF/A4CX to gather and evaluate the Installation Natural Disaster Risk Indexes, Installation CBRN Risk Indexes, and Installation All Hazard Threat Assessments. Additionally, manage the documentation of Department of the Air Force (DAF) and Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Mission Assurance (MA) reports in a centralized repository for historical reference and AF/A4C oversight.
  • Evaluate the utilization of current threat data by DAF installations in their risk index determinations.
  • Work in conjunction with the Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) and DTRA to analyze annual MA assessment schedules and ensure they are accessible in the central repository for AF/A4C awareness and necessary preparations.
  • Act as a liaison between DAF installations and AFSFC and DTRA, promptly informing the Emergency Management Branch (AF/A4CXE) government lead of any policy or procedural conflicts.
  • Prepare comprehensive briefings, bullet background papers (BBPs), and other documentation to support working groups, integrated product teams, and task forces focused on CBRN requirements, programs, and issues.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and coordination of Joint Service and Air Force Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) related to Emergency Management (EM) and CBRN.
  • Propose corrective measures to DAF government representatives as necessary.
  • Provide support to DAF Civil Engineering, Emergency Management, Chemical-WMD, and Mission Assurance governance bodies as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in emergency management and CBRN Defense across a diverse threat landscape.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is essential.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Security Clearance:

  • Candidates must possess TS/SCI and NATO clearances.
